Kawarau Falls Bridge site

When:        Tuesday 20 March 3:30pm to 5:00 pm

How:           Bus departs Millennium Hotel

Bring:         Personal Protection Equipment to be worn, mandatory  (own provision)

  • Safety footwear with steel toecaps
  • High-visibility vest COPTTOM compliant
  • Legs and arms fully covered
  • Construction hard hat
  • Safety eyewear
  • Gloves (may be carried)

Description of visit
All visitors will first receive a site safety briefing and induction.
A circular walking route from the site office and return encompassing the new bridge and the historic bridge.
The new bridge is restricted to a single lane of traffic at the northern end while the construction of the northern approach is completed. 
The historic bridge is closed to traffic and is being prepared as a walking and cycling bridge. It still carries utility services.
